Bayonnais is located in the mountains, a five hour drive from the capital, Port au Prince. The rural region around Bayonnais has a population of 80,000. Northern Uganda has been devastated by years of War, Aids, and Poverty. Over 2 million children below the age of 15 have lost one or both parents to this devastation. About World of God
God has shown us children living in extreme poverty in His world, and he has called us to bring hope into the lives of His Children. World of God is founded to address the structural and spiritual causes of poverty with a specific objective of creating sustainable aid. We are a Christian organization, based in Charlotte, NC focused on the children of Haiti, Liberia, and Uganda where we have capable, experienced, and trusted partners.
We are thankful for World of God and the sponsorship program which will enable us to reach many more children. Please join us with your support for World of God as we strive to be the Hands of Christ.
Rev. Actionnel Fleurisma, Founder, OFCB Ministries, Bayonnais, Haiti
The goodness of your organization will give hope to many hopeless young men and women whose educational journey was hijacked by a senseless and bloody civil war that lasted for 14 years. I wholeheartedly endorse the vision, dream and hope for the World of God organization.
Rev. Dr. John G. Innis, Resident Bishop Liberia Area, The United Methodist Church
We are thankful for the wonderful partnership existing between us and World of God. World of God empowers our efforts to assist in providing quality, meaningful and affordable educational opportunities for young Liberians who cannot afford to attend school.
Herbert and Mary Zigbuo, United Methodist Missionaries, Liberia, West Africa
Please join me in supporting the work of caring for Gods children in two of the poorest counties in our world and in my support for the work of World of God.
Dr. James Howell, Senior Pastor, Myers Park United Methodist Church, Charlotte, NC
Nicolas is one of the areas in Bayonnais. Located on the top of the mountains with no shades trees. These people are desperate for sweet trees that can grow, eatable fruits, Vegetables, no water and lets not even talk about electricity. Millet, corn and peanuts are the mains crops that are grown. 90 per cent of the populations are farmers, but farming is not sufficient for a living and almost impossible because we all know that crops do not grow in mountains.
We visited Gbarnga and our Methodist partners in December and met with many of the sponsored children and their families. World of God has employed a new local coordinator, Lee Flomo, a seminary student, who is making great progress with children, familes, and our ability to keep you in touch with your sponsored child. The Internet cafe continues to provide a window to the world in Gbarnga and an enterprise for the benefit of the Tubman Gray school.
